Congresswoman Shelley Berkley is challenging Senator Dean Heller to go without super PAC funding.  How effective is money from the super PACs?  It helped Newt Gingrich win a caucus powered by ads.  But how much do voters take these ads into consideration when they cast their ballots?  And do voters care whether or not a candidate uses super PAC money?  We want to hear from you.

COMMENTS:
I think a very important point was missed in your discussion today...and that is that all these adds ONLY reach the uninformed. For the most part the adds are half truths and the lies are what people respond to in the voters both. Just as with other commercials I switch channels when they come on, so their monies are wasted on me and would better serve another purpose.

The candidate that receives $10 million from a single donor via a super PAC will undoubtedly establish a relationship with said donor once the candidate is elected. Therefore the desires of the "super" donor are those foremost on the agenda of the candidate/official. This contact is what enriches the candidate or elected official. My $100 donation won't lead to employment for the candidate after they leave office. My ideas for my state, or country can't realistically compete.

Are these Super Pac's, by law, need to be transparent? Are the donors required to make public their donations? And if so, are they complyining.

berkeley and her husband have enough money to be their own super pac. the congresswoman is a career politician, they are multi millionaires, they've profited from our convoluted housing market. elect career politicians out of office...the woman is a narcissist, her plastic face is my proof...

who cares about PAC money. Ask the hard questions KNPR. Why is Berkeley's husband profiting from the foreclosure crisis in Las Vegas...It feels wrong, it reads wrong...therefore, Ms. Berkeley does not deserve one vote from any of us... she eats dinner with her husband, shares his bed...
