Las Vegas has one of the highest rates of foreclosures.  It also has one of the highest rates of unemployment.  After a decade of unmitigated growth, Las Vegas is staggering along, experiencing slower recovery than most of the country.  Thousands of people have left the state for better opportunities.  And yet, transients continue to find their way here.  Are Las Vegans, whether recently transplanted here or long time residents, optimistic by nature?  Is this recession testing our will beyond our limits?
