For decades Area 51, the top secret air base the government used during the Cold War, was a source of urban legend. Space aliens, unidentified flying objects, secret weapons - they were all part of the lore of that black hole in the Nevada Desert just north of Las Vegas. Now the National Atomic Testing Museum has an exhibit about the dark secrets of the desert. We talk with the creators of the exhibition.

speaking of UFO sightings, back in the 70's, about 1976, I was driving home form my job for the National Weather Service office in Duluth Minnesota and while passing over the "High Bridge" to Superior, Wisconsin when I saw it. Yes, indeed, a hovering "Flying Saucer". It was near a grain elevator over a boat slip, about level with the top of the elevator shafts. It appeared to be about 35 plus feet in diameter. I told no one about the sighting as I feared about the possible fallout, job security, etc. didn't mention a thing till after my retirement. About within a week after my sighting another report of a sighting in Minnesota occurred. Later on I thought it might have been a holographic image, especially after seeing certain Las Vegas strip shows.
