Lijana Wallenda-Hernandez is filling in for her husband at his job.  He’s a tightrope walker – one-third of the Esteemed Gentlemen of the High Wire.  But walking the highwire is nothing new to Lijana – she comes from a whole family of tightrope walkers.  She’s the seventh generation of circus performers.  Her great-grandfather, Karl Wallenda, did handstands walking across the Tallulah Gorge when he was 65, and her relative Nik Wallenda plans to cross Niagara Falls.  Lijana talks about continuing her family’s highwire legacy, and performing safely despite her family’s tragedies.  Lijana performs with "Absinthe" through May 1.
