Much of the funding for renewable energy is about to expire. That could really complicate efforts to diversify the economy. And there are several unfinished projects up and down the Las Vegas Strip. And it's anyone's guess when they will be finished. Certainly the owners are not in any hurry to restart construction when casino operators can barely fill the rooms that are already there.
