CCSD May Cut More Teachers
CCSD May Cut More Teachers

AIR DATE: April 25, 2012

The school district and the teacher's union remain mired in arbitration.  And because of that the school board was forced to come up with a tentative budget.  The worst case scenario means the district could cut close to 1400 teachers and staff.  Has the district done all it can to avoid cutting more teachers?  And is teaching still seen as a desirable career path for people?

Lynn Warne, Pres, NSEA

Without question any normal person who is NOT a bureaucrat or politician could easily cut the school budget in half without increasing class size or cutting courses. Indeed, their budget is a joke, except I'm not laughing because I've got no kids, yet pay on the order of $2000/year to the incompetent wastrels at the school district.

Your presentation with Lynn Warne has been very biased and one sided. Perhaps next time you can put a conservative on your show who will give the other side of the story. This woman is obviously a partisan liberal Democrat. You could do better than this.
