The Nevada Proficiency Exam is required in order to graduate from high school.  Hundreds, if not thousands of students across the district will have to take one or more of the exams again this month if they want to walk and receive their diploma in June.  Who puts these tests together?  What are the criteria?  How do we know if these tests are any good?  Do we spend too much time worrying about and preparing kids for a test instead of educating them?
