Imagine bolting a battery and electric motor to your car, and automatically converting it to a hybrid.  That's just one idea on display when UNLV engineering students present their latest inventions at the 2012 Senior Design Competition.  We talk with some of the students, plus a venture capital investor on the viability of these ideas. 
 
The UNLV College of Engineering Hosts its Spring 2012 Senior Design Competition on May 3 from 7:45 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Cox Pavilion Concourse.

    I would love to know more about the students doing the hybrid conversion on trucks! If we can get a V8 truck to get 40+ MPG I would invest in the product for my self right away. Also if we could move the battery and electrick motor to our new truck when we are ready to sell it that would be fantastic!
