Believe it or not, the Sierra Nevada is actually getting taller. In a decade, it's grown an inch. All kinds of satellite measurements tell us what how it's grown, but it takes geology to understand what's happening beneath the earth to squeeze the mountain heavenwards. We talk to a geologist who can explain the small increase in a great mountains.
