AIR DATE: May 24, 2012

The Clark County Commission has postponed a hearing on the future of the Echelon until early June, where the property's permits are at stake.  Boyd Gaming, which owns the site, is asking for an extension.  We'll talk with Commisioner Chris Giunchigliani about what should happen at the site.  We also discuss how best to bring back the north end of the Strip.

Thank you for being on the show Commissioner. I second the wish to in some manner require beautification on empty sites: El Rancho Vegas, The Wet & Wild, smaller sites that have been sitting empty. Best, Scott

These abandoned buildings are eyesores ... There ought to be an eyesore tax levied on the owners of the Fountainbleu, Echelon Place, the site of the old Frontier This is surely something that supporters of both Democrats and Republicans would support !
