Mitt Romney's Mormon faith has dogged him throughout his political career. Throughout the presidential campaign, it also looks as if there will be questions about whether religion will causes the first LDS candidate for president serious problems. Historian Kathleen Flake says these questions were all tested a century ago when the Senate investigated whether Utah's Senator Reed Smoot should be seated. We look at the parallels between Smoot's and Romney's candidacies.
