Artist Wendy Kveck on Women and Wedding Cakes

AIR DATE: June 4, 2012

Wendy Kveck is making wedding cakes.  Really BIG wedding cakes.  The 10-foot tall "cakes" are made of cardboard, and frosted in different paints.  She will also decorate them with plastic flowers, jewels, and other "feminine" items.  The exhibit also encourages the audience to contribute comments, and includes paintings and an interactive CD.  Artist Wendy Kveck talks to us about stereotypes about women, and how today's world encourages women to put their best "decorated cake" self forward.
