In Lords of Las Vegas, Kurt Divich draws on his personal experience as a speechwriter to craft a tale of political intrigue with the city as its glittery backdrop. The story follows a disenchanted writer looking for something he can believe in passionately. He finds that in an up-and-coming Latino political star running for the Clark County Commission - Julian Correa. Sound familiar? There was such a star but his career went off the rails in the G-Sting scandal. Divich's novel is inspired by some of those events.
