Apple will soon make its mark in northern Nevada when it opens a new data center and purchasing facility in Reno.

The State of Nevada, Washoe County, City of Reno and Washoe County School District all contributed to building a huge tax abatement package for the company. But is it worth it?

The Reno Gazette Journal reports the deal, while only recently announced, was the culmination of a number of factors going back to 2009. We discuss the road Reno took to land Apple and if it will all be worth it.
