This was the week that Republicans officially rolled out their presidential ticket. Did the hoopla give Romney-Ryan a boost? Does the GOP offer anything new for Nevada? And this week brought more steroid scandals. Does does that affect the sportsbooks? Those are just two topics that caught our attention, but we want to know  what's on your mind.  What's the news that you find compelling just ahead of the Labor Day weekend?

    COMMENTS:
All I can say is that Wayne Allen Root sounds like a typical Republican mouthpiece full of hot air. All he seems to care about is "What will America do for me." It is that attitude that has ruined the country and kept the middle class from finding jobs. I don't know what RNC he was watching. It is the Democrats that help the minorities and the middle class. I am looking forward to the DNC next week in Charlotte where the REAL AMERICA will make its stand.

Mr. Root is suffering from the "false consensus effect". He believes that everyone thinks the same way as him. I can assure you, I could not disagree more with most of what he has said.

Why in the world is KNPR lending any credibility to Wayne Root? He is a gambling tout (rumored to give out both sides) reinvented as a political expert? What a joke. I knew him in the 90s as the moocher always looking for unearned comps from casino hosts. You should screen your guests a little better.

I hear the statement over and over, from mitt and your current guest. Israel has done so goo and is doing so good but no one every talks about how much we have geven to them i s the last 50 years. Could this have been the seed to there great achievement ?
