Are Toll Lanes Coming To Nevada?

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitor's Authority was recently presented with two reports that show road expansion projects to and from the city will boost visitor numbers. But the Highway Trust Fund can't pay for it, according to transportation lobbyist Tom Skancke. So now they're proposing toll lanes. Are Nevadans going to accept it?

    I'm not going to pretend that I know a lot about this subject but I'm a little leary of having private sector get into what are government should be providing. It's sort of like when Megabucks made their way into casino's to make money for the company. It was not like they were providing a real service. They figured out how to get into something and make a profit. This guy is not doing this because he doesn't' want to get stuck in traffic. Lobbyist...

    How about passing the cost of road maintenance to the millions of visitors that enjoy our roads every year??? 1) tolls at the entry points into the city from California and Arizona. 2) increased airport, taxi and/or hotel feesĀ
