In order to combat the issue of homelessness in our city, a new method called "housing first" has recently reduced the number of homeless people on the streets of Las Vegas. This method allows homeless people into housing without needing to get cleaned up first as the "housing readiness" approach used to require. Why is housing first working better and what does the program completely entail?
