Commuter rail has made headlines as Xpress West continues its mission to build a rail link between Southern California and Las Vegas. But a new company, Las Vegas Railway Express, has just signed a deal to use existing to use Union Pacific railroad tracks between Fullerton, CA and Las Vegas, possibly beating Xpress West to the finish line. The planned "X Train" would be a luxury passenger train with services that include bar area lounges.
