The coroner's inquests have been on hold since late 2010. But officer-involved shootings are down and the new district attorney, Steve Wolfson, is taking a more active role in investigating the police. So, do we need a public system? Or is it better to encourage accountability in the police department and prosecutor's office?

PLEASE STOP SAYING, "Some people are saying". You sound like FOX NEWS!!! If there are 'some people' who are actually 'saying' that there should no longer be inquests, NAME THEM! KNPR does a disservice to this community when they make claims on the air without attribution.Jim in Henderson –Dec 5, 2012 10:07:23 AM
