Newly-elected Democratic Congressman Steven Horsford will go to Washington at a very contentious time. House Republicans and President Obama are locked in a battle over how to prevent the nation from going over the fiscal cliff. While Horsford won't directly participate in those negotiations, he will join Congress at a time when both parties say they want to come together to find solutions to the nation's biggest problems, but can't find middle ground.
