Newly-elected Democratic Congressman Steven Horsford will go to Washington at a very contentious time. House Republicans and President Obama are locked in a battle over how to prevent the nation from going over the fiscal cliff. While Horsford won't directly participate in those negotiations, he will join Congress at a time when both parties say they want to come together to find solutions to the nation's biggest problems, but can't find middle ground. Congressman-elect Steven Horsford joins us to talk about his goals as he prepares for his first term in Washington.

It is so refreshing to hear someone standing up for the poor and elderly by advocating first cutting corporate welfare for the biggest and richest among us. Congratulation on your win and good luck in your efforts to make this a better world!
