Iranian Artists Find Refuge In Vegas

AIR DATE: January 28, 2013

Ali Fathollahi and Nanda Sharifpour fled Iran with little more than the clothes on their backs -- and all the art they could smuggle out of the country. The two artists moved to Turkey, and then to Las Vegas six months ago. They found community in the Arts District. We'll talk about their journey from Iran to Las Vegas and how it feels to be so far from home.

It was fantastic to hear their interview this morning, and learn so much about them. Thank you so much for taking the time to share their life experiences here and in Iran. I hope people get the chance to see their show because Nanda and Ali do amazing artwork.
