Assemblyman Steven Brooks allegedly made threats against fellow Democratic lawmaker and majority leader Marilyn Kirkpatrick. Then he was arrested by North Las Vegas Police with a loaded gun in the car. But the defiant lawmaker has proclaimed his innocence and his intention to serve in the upcoming legislative session.
