Automatic spending cuts will kick in soon -- unless Congress can reach an agreement before March 1. The cuts will affect defense spending, early childhood education and even air travel. But politicans on opposite sides of the aisle can't seem to agree what affect the cuts might have. So, what will the sequester mean to the Las Vegas economy? We'll talk to an economist who can tell us what might happen.
The trillion dollar coins will save us! (so just kidding!)Aunty Palin –Feb 25, 2013 09:17:42 AM
I say, let the cutting begin, for no matter how one "feels" about spending, America clearly has a huge and ever-growing spending and debt problem. Indeed, add to the deficit all of the future unfunded liabilities that exist today, and every man, woman and child in this country is already in debt to the tune of perhaps $400,000 to $500,000 each. Mark my words, the dollar *will* collapse eventually, for the debt numbers are so huge that there is no possibility of ever producing our way out - and the only thing left will be for government to try and print its way out of debt.Tom Hurst –Feb 22, 2013 16:14:42 PM
