Nevada Democrats On Education
Nevada Democrats On Education

AIR DATE: March 4, 2013

Nevada Democrats have released their plans for education this session. The part of the plan that has everyone talking is the price tag. Democrats want an extra 310 million dollars for public education. Do Democrats have a plan for how they're going to find that money? Governor Sandoval remains steadfast on his promise to veto any new taxes.

As one familiar with both the K-12 and NSHE budget details, I would suggest that both could easily be cut by at least 1/3 without negatively impacting education. The amount of waste and inefficiency is far beyond astounding, and any bureaucrat that says otherwise is, in my opinion, either a liar or an idiot!
