Gov. Bob Miller is the longest-serving governor in Nevada's history -- and with term limits, he may well hold the record forever. His family came from humble circumstances as owners of a bar and bookmaking shop in Chicago, until his father took a small stake in the Riviera in the mid-1950s. Miller has just published his autobiography telling of his rise from humble origins, his family's success in 1960s Las Vegas and his political career culminating in the Governor's Mansion in Carson City.
