Assembly Majority Leader William Horne (D-Las Vegas) is pressing a bill to tax guns and ammunition. The bill adds a $25 tax per firearm and 2 cents per round of ammunition. All proceeds would go to mental health services. In the bill it also states that an individual could be held liable in civil court for harm caused by guns they've sold to others.

I'm all for this added tax to guns & ammunition - The funds could be used to clean up the desert where these shooters leave heaps of trash and shell casings all over the place. When you go shooting in the desert haul out your trash and other crap.

The power to tax is the power to destroy. Lets hold the power companies liable for electrocutions and Oil Companies for any damage done by combustion engines. Not only is William Horne out of line on this, he should be removed from office in the next election.

Once again the tax paying law abiding citizen is forced to shoulder the load. When will it end? When we are down on all fours from the weight of goverment and regulation. Don't re-elect anybody
