Harry Reid, Closet Environmentalist?

AIR DATE: March 15, 2013

Nevadans are familiar with Senator Harry Reid’s long-time opposition to storing nuclear waste at Yucca Mountain. But the senator’s record on pro-environment  legislation is stellar across the board. In fact, Reid has earned five consecutive years of perfect scores on green issues from the League of Conservation Voters.

But he doesn’t have that reputation inside the Beltway. National Journal environmental reporter Amy Harder has written a piece called “Harry Reid, The Closet Environmentalist.” We discuss her article.

Harry Reid is a chameleon who will say whatever he things someone wants to hear and/or whatever he thinks will get him ahead in the grand political game. Indeed, for decades he's shown absolutely no integrity or moral/intellectual consistency.
