Donizetti originally set his melodramatic opera, "The Elixir of Love" in a small village in the Basque Country. UNLV Opera will be performing the opera but with a twist. It's set right here in Las Vegas in an upscale bar. The peasant becomes a casino maintenance man but they still sing the great love duets that have kept this opera in the repertoire.
