Praying For Rain: Ranchers And Farmers Face Another Dry Summer
Praying For Rain: Ranchers And Farmers Face Another Dry Summer

Listen
AIR DATE: March 27, 2013

Last summer was one of the worst on record for Nevada ranchers. High heat and dry conditions forced them to sell their stock and buy feed, cutting profit margins and convincing some that they'd be better off in some other line of work. The ranchers who made it through last summer could be facing another scorcher this year. How will they cope? And what will it mean for the ranchers who stay?

GUESTS

Ron Cerri, rancher

Ken Conley, rancher

Sam Mori, rancher

Doug Busselman, Executive Vice President, Nevada Farm Bureau Federation
