Gov. Sandoval Sharpens Stance On Marijuana, Gay Marriage
Gov. Sandoval Sharpens Stance On Marijuana, Gay Marriage

Listen
AIR DATE: April 22, 2013

Gov. Brian Sandoval this week made clear his stance on two contentious issues before the Nevada legislature.

First, the governor said that while he does support creating dispensaries for medical marijuana he doesn’t think recreational marijuana should be legal. And in an interview with Spanish language media the Governor said he believes that marriage should between a man and a woman.

The legislature is currently considering a bill that would eliminate the definition of marriage as between a man and a woman from the state constitution. So what do these stances mean for the fate of those bills? And what does it mean for Gov. Sandoval’s political future?
