RAFI/NPR Scholarship Winners

Kathy Sudbury Burchick and Ilija Vojnovic, broadcast communication students attending Community College Southern Nevada, were awarded $500 scholarships for Spring 2004. Funding for the scholarships was provided jointly by Robert A. Fielden Architects, Incorporated and Nevada Public Radio. Burchick and Vojnovic were recognized in award ceremonies held during the March 31, 2004, meeting of Nevada Public Radio's board of directors. Louis Castle, NPR board chairman, personally presented the scholarship awards and extended his best wishes to the students. To date, five scholarships, each in the amount of $500, have been awarded to CCSN students in the broadcast communications program. Nevada Public Radio, also provides CCSN students with internship opportunities in connection with related studies.
