Man Convicted Of Kidnapping Wynn's Daughter Returns To Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The man convicted of kidnapping casino mogul Steve Wynn's daughter in 1993 has been returned to Las Vegas after 21 years in prison.

KLAS-TV reports 69-year-old Ray Cuddy isn't scheduled to finish his sentence until March, but court records show he's already back in Las Vegas, possibly at a halfway house.

Cuddy masterminded the plot to kidnap Wynn's daughter, Kevin, who later changed her name to Kevyn, from her Las Vegas home with help from two accomplices.

Steve Wynn collected over $1 million from the Mirage resort cage to meet a ransom demand, and had a driver deliver a bag with the money to a location in Las Vegas.

Kevyn Wynn was returned unharmed, and Cuddy was later arrested in Southern California.

Cuddy and Steve Wynn declined comment.
