LAS VEGAS (AP) — State officials say they've caught a female inmate less than 24 hours after she escaped from a work crew in the Las Vegas area.
The Nevada Department of Corrections says officers found 21-year-old Kerran Dade near Boulder Highway and Nellis Boulevard at about 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. She was arrested after a brief chase on foot.
Authorities say Dade ran off at about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday while working with the Department of Forestry near U.S. Route 95 and Wyoming Avenue in eastern Las Vegas.
