A woman is hospitalized with critical injuries and police had closed have a busy roadway closed near the Las Vegas Strip after a pre-dawn crash on Monday.
Police say the woman was crossing Flamingo Road not far from a pedestrian overhead walkway when she was struck by a 2005 Kia about 3:45 a.m. just east of Las Vegas Boulevard.
The woman's name wasn't immediately made public.

It wasn't clear how the woman entered the roadway in an area where pedestrians are restricted.
The driver remained at the scene while police investigate.
