Nevada Pulls Away In Overtime To Beat Colorado State 87-80

RENO, Nev. (AP) — D.J. Fenner scored 24 points, Tyron Criswell added 23 with eight rebounds and Nevada beat Colorado State 87-80 in overtime Sunday.

Fenner grabbed a rebound off his own miss and was fouled with 10.9 seconds left in regulation. He made two free throws to give Nevada a 68-67 lead. Colorado State was whistled for an offensive foul with 5.2 seconds left and Criswell hit 1 of 2 free throws for a 69-67 lead.

Colorado State's Joe De Ciman was inadvertently fouled near midcourt with 0.4 seconds remaining and hit both at the stripe to tie it.

But the Rams did not make their first field goal of the extra session until John Gillon's layup with 34.3 seconds left and trailed 81-73.

Cameron Oliver had 16 points and 14 rebounds for Nevada (18-10, 10-6 Mountain West).

Antwan Scott made five 3-pointers and scored 30 points with nine rebounds for Colorado State (15-14, 7-9).
