Culinary Union Plans Protest Outside Palms
Nevada's largest labor group is expected to protest outside of the Palms Casino Resort in support of an effort to unionize workers.
The Culinary Union representing 57,000 Las Vegas casino workers said the Friday protest will begin at 5 p.m. with a thousand workers and community supporters expected.
The union said workers have been trying to organize since last year.
The labor group said workers' petitions seeking a union vote without interference has been rejected by the company.
The off-Strip property didn't immediately provide comment.
