LAS VEGAS (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden is campaigning in Las Vegas for Hillary Clinton and Democratic Senate hopeful Catherine Cortez Masto.

Campaign officials said Biden is scheduled to appear at the Culinary Union Local 226 Hall on Thursday morning to discuss the economy and the high stakes for the election.

He's also expected to remind Nevadans they can register to vote online or in person until Oct. 18.

Biden's visit comes the day after Hillary Clinton held a rally alongside Cortez Masto at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas.

Nevada is a battleground state with a tight Senate race that could decide which party controls the U.S. Senate. The outcome will depend on which camp best motivates their voters to turn out.
