Mandalay Bay Reopens All Floors Of Hotel

Mandalay Bay officials say that all floors of the hotel are now back in use and elevators are once again stopping at the 32nd floor.

The resort had closed off several floors in late November amid a guest slowdown - caused by the combination of the holiday season and fallout from the Oct. 1 mass shooting.

It was from the 32nd floor that a gunman shot at concertgoers from a suite. The shooting left 58 concertgoers dead and more than 500 injured.

MGM Resorts International, the hotel’s parent company, had said they expected to reopen the floors once the convention season resumed. And with about 180,000 people heading to Las Vegas for CES this week, there is a high demand for rooms.

The show kicks off on Tuesday and wraps up Friday.
