Nevada Closes Probe Into 6 Voters Who Voted Twice In Primary

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Nevada Secretary of State's Office says it is closing an investigation into six people who voted twice during the June primary election after finding that they did not intentionally cast two ballots.

Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske announced Tuesday that five of the six voters initially cast ballots during a two-week early voting period and then voted again on Election Day after forgetting they had already voted.

A sixth voter cast two ballots during early voting for the same reason.

Clark County Registrar of Voters Joe Gloria recommended the investigation after discovering more than 40 voters cast votes twice during the primary, prompting a do-over election in a close race for county administrator.

He believed six of the voters intentionally voted twice but did not offer details.
