Attendees to the Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas this weekend got a major surprise.
Actor Patrick Stewart made an appearance and announced that he would reprise his role as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in a new Star Trek series.
The new series will not be a reboot, but will instead be a chronicle of the next part of Picard’s life.
There weren’t any details given about the timeline for series production.
