Lake Tahoe Swimmer Rescued After Leg Stuck Between Boulders

STATELINE, Nev. (AP) — A swimmer at Lake Tahoe had to be rescued after her leg became wedged between several boulders in the mountain lake on the California-Nevada line.

Emergency responders for the Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District were able to fee the teenage girl from the rocks Wednesday afternoon in Skunk Harbor on Tahoe's eastern shore between Glenbrook and Sand Harbor.

District Fire Marshal Eric Guevin told the Tahoe Tribuneher head remained above the water while she was stuck between the boulders 20 or 30 feet from shore. He says an off-duty Reno firefighter was the first to assist her. Her name was not released.
