Plans are moving forward to build a bridge connecting Laughlin and Bullhead City.
Work on the $47 million project is now set to begin next spring.
On the Nevada side, Clark County will construct three miles of road connecting the bridge to Needles Highway.
On the Arizona side, about a half-mile of road will connect it to Bullhead Parkway.
Building the bridge will take about two years, while paperwork and environmental studies to get the project started began 12 years ago.
