I-580 In Washoe Valley Back Open After Multiple Crashes

WASHOE VALLEY, Nev. (AP) — The I-580 through Washoe Valley has reopened after being shut down by several crashes.

KOLO-TV in Reno reports that Nevada Highway Patrol officials especially icy roads and heavy fog were factors in traffic incidents Monday morning.

No serious injuries have been reported.

A crash was first reported around 5 a.m.

Others occurred including one in which a NHP vehicle and an ambulance were struck.

As a result, I-580 near the Bowers Mansion exit was closed so crews could haul away debris.
