Woman Injured After Falling From Las Vegas Roller Coaster

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Officials say a woman was injured after she fell from a roller coaster in the Adventuredome amusement park at the Circus Circus hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

An emailed statement sent Tuesday night by Clark County spokesman Erik Pappa says the Clark County Building and Fire Prevention department was called to the scene Monday after the woman fell out of the El Loco roller coaster.

MGM Resorts International said in an emailed statement Tuesday that the company is "incredibly saddened" that the woman was injured and vowed that safety is the company's top priority.

Officials say the ride has been closed since the incident.

It was unclear Tuesday if the ride was moving when the woman fell, or how seriously she was injured.
