Arraignment Delayed In Private School Owner Abuse Case

Formal charges have not yet been filed against the owners of a private school in Amargosa Valley, delaying Tuesday’s arraignment.

Marcel and Patricia Chappuis, as well as a former staff member, are involved in an ongoing child abuse and contaminated water investigation at Northwest Academy.

The Las Vegas Review Journal reports it is not clear why the three have not yet been formally charged.

The hearings were postponed until May 21.
