SWAT Team Nabs 2 Suspects In Reno Apple Store Thefts

 

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Two suspects in a number thefts at an Apple Store at a shopping mall in Reno last year have been arrested after a standoff with a SWAT team south of downtown.

KOLO-TV reports a SWAT team fired gas into a residence on Wright Street Sunday night before apprehending 37-year-old Christopher Chang and 24-year-old Jennifer Chang.

Reno police say they gave chase when they spotted the suspects in a car and set up a perimeter at the home where they holed up because of their criminal history.

Christopher Chang was being held Monday in the Washoe County Jail on $340,000 bail. He's charged with parole violations, disobeying an officer and drug possession.

Jennifer Chang's bail was set at $55,000. She's charged with parole violations and resisting a police officer.

It's not clear if they are related or have lawyers.
