Cirque Announces First New Show In 6 Years

Cirque du Soleil has announced a new show to run in its theater at Luxor.  It’s titled “R.U.N,” and it is the first new Cirque show to open on the Strip in six years.

Cirque representatives say “R.U.N.” will differ significantly from other Cirque productions, with a reduced presence for acrobatics, more action sequences and stunts, and a story-driven plot set in Las Vegas.

The show will have a script written by Hollywood writer and director Robert Rodriguez.

Its opening is set for late October.

Sink your teeth into our annual collection of dining — and drinking — stories, including a tally of Sin City's Tiki bars, why good bread is having a moment, and how one award-winning chef is serving up Caribbean history lessons through steak.
