Gov. Sisolak Asks For Major Disaster Declaration From President Trump

Governor Steve Sisolak has asked for a Major Disaster Declaration for the state of Nevada from President Donald Trump.

The declaration would bring more federal assistance to the state and give access to a number of federal programs to help with everything from unemployment to crisis counseling and mass care.

There is no word on when the president will act on the request.
