CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Governor Steve Sisolak signed a directive Tuesday to allow Nevada schools to reopen immediately for summer coursework.
The directive allows schools to convene for summer school and gives local districts the decision-making power over whether to hold in-person classes, remote learning or a combination.
It arrives less than two weeks after Nevada begun transitioning to Phase 2 of the governor's "Roadmap to Recovery" plan and requires schools to submit detailed reopening plans ahead of the start of the school year in early fall.
