CCSD Students To Get Free Telehealth Primary Care This Fall

Students in the Clark County School District will have access to free telehealth primary care at school starting in August, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Hazel Health has signed a contract to provide the service through May of 2025, the school district said.

Students will need the consent of a parent or guardian to use it, with no limit on the number of times they can use it.

The student will use an IPad to communicate live with a medical provider.  A school nurse will be present.

Company officials and CCSD are figuring out how to make it work during the pandemic.

To help pay for the services, Hazel Health partners with Medicaid and it takes private insurance. It has also received grants, plus, it offers financial assistance for uninsured or under-insured students.
